We’re almost done!!!!
We have two more sessions left before the EP will be sent off for mastering. I’m so eager to share these songs. Spencer has been such a choice producer to work with. He cares about the life of my tunes just as much as I do and brings so much zeal to each recording.

*Look for a fun EP production campaign (similar to this) soon with pre-sale options and other treats.

Tomorrow is the start of Spring!!! Check out these amazing buttons my friend Kate and her friend Robyn made. This Winter was so brutal, I am confident we all need these.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year.

Hope you all are off to a good 2014. I’m hopeful for this new start.
I’ll be playing outside of Cleveland for my first shows of the year.
Recording will start up again next week. I’m working on a nice way to get people involved in the EP and it’s potential and release..
I’m dreaming up a little tour in June.
Feeling like 2014 will be the year I purchase an electric guitar. Something like this pretty thing!
Off to write and play while the baby naps.

Wishing you the best.

Christmas shows and an original Christmas song!

Christmas! Christmas!

I feel very happy about celebrating Christmas this year. I think my little one has a lot to do with all my cheer.
I love showing him decorations, watch him look at the tree and the lights, keep him from grabbing the tree and lights, dancing and singing Christmas songs with him. It’s been a wonderful season..maybe the best!

I’m playing two Holiday themed shows this Friday and next. It was would be just the best if you could make it out to one or (even) both! One is a solo gig and the other will be with a band.

This Friday the 13th I’ll be at Loop with Alan Madej from 7-9pm. Alan and I wrote an original Christmas song last month and recorded it (with Charlie Loudin, who is wonderful and produced my album, Sweetheart) as a present for our friends and fans. Listen to it at my bandcamp link at the end of this post. It’s free!

The process was actually a lot of fun. I’ve never successfully written with anyone else (other than Geoff on “Ice cream”). Alan wrote the melody and I wrote most of the lyrics but we changed it up together and we’re both very pleased with how it turned out. We’ll sing it together for this one night only!!
Have you heard Alan’s music? He’s really terrific. His voice is quite nice and very much his own with a touch of Buddy Holly and John Lennon (I think).

We’ll be playing during Tremont’s monthly artwalk. It’s totally free! Come hear us. Get a cup of something warm, browse/maybe buy some records and enjoy the night!

Next Friday the 20th I’ll be opening for my friends, Bethesda with the addition of bass (Chris Wise), pedal steel (Al Moss) and cello (Shelby Sangdahl) at G.A.R. historic hall in Peninsula. This venue looks beautiful. I can’t wait to play! Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The show will start at 630pm.
We’ll be playing some Christmas tunes and some of my new and familiar tunes as well. RSVP here.

Bethesda. ABT.

Hope to see you!

Here is “A Christmas Memory.” Enjoy and please pass it along to friends!
